Mushfiq, what WiFi device does your Dell Vostro laptop have? You will need to ensure your WiFi device (and its driver) supports this?

when i give this command “netsh wlan start hostednetwork” they say “The hosted network couldn’t be started. A device attached to the system is not functioning”. i am using win 7 ultimate 32 bit on a dell vostro laptop. i have updated the drivers… but no luck…

I downloaded the 32-bit driver and entered the commands, but it’s telling me that “The hosted network couldn’t be started. A device attached to the system is not functioning.” I have Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate and tried to set up wireless hotspot and it told me that I do not have sufficient priveleges to start this wireless network.

I have wireless device called NOOK Color that requires a wifi hotspot and downloaded Connectify and got this message that the signal was too weak and “not in range”…

I am stymied for now.
