Don't dilute the value. Post as often as you can, but as long as that content is unique, which will make it worthwhile to come back to your blog regularly. Too many posts of lesser value will not give you any advantage. I can (and do) get that kind of general news at other sites. You commentary helps make it special. ;) I agree with others.
