actually i have one……the high end type (HDX 9399sx)……….my upgrade:
-NVidia GeForce 580 GTX Graphics Card
-Windows 7 Ultimate(I already have the Windows 8 Beta)
-6TB HDD(2 x 3TB Western Digital SATA HDD)
-Intel Core i7-980X processors(3.3 GHz & 3.6 GHz with turbo boost)
-8 GB DDR3 memory

just that the upgrading…….

I know there are new and powerfull laptops, but this one still kicks all of them. The only thing I wanna know is if I can change some part to make it more powerfull.

I bought mine 2.5 years ago and I still love it. Got lucky, price $2,000 US, $700 off. The store accidentally received it and it was in the back room for several months. I can’t find new units online, wonder why they quit making them. As far as lugging it around, if you hold it the right way, it’s not that big of a deal. Best computer ever. I’ve been using them for 27 years.

It was a bad choice when I bought this computer from HP due the problems this computer has first the surounding era of the built in camera broke HP took care of that while was under warrenty then the integrated video card made by Nvidia stop working the screen would go blank. I called HP and they said it will cost around $400 USD to fix it and the computer around 2.5 years old searching on the net I found out NVIDIA card 8800M chipset is defective and I feel HP should recall those models and replace them for free.

i got one (HDX9003TX) on sale in Sydney, Australia.$2500.With a bonus set of cheap logitechs thrown in for good measure.

This computer is the one I type this message on, and apart from the solid feel of the keyboard, silky smooth graphics response and digital tv!!!!, it is quite heavy, but already I am smitten with the luxury screen and fast boot up. i originally priced one of these puppies in Hawaii back in July 08′ for $1599 US, yep thats right.the 4GB ram, 320 GB HD one….(T5750 processor Ithink). But couldnt get accurate postage to me as I was on duty(sailor). Anyways for a little more Aussie dosh, I walked into a Harvey Norman store 2 weeks ago and there it was, along with 3 other ascending in price models! i very happy with big ass computer. I carry it around in the front pocket of a suit bag, if you were wondering about transportation….with foam liner of course in case I drop the strong mans dream machine. i use a music notation program and the size of the screen is wonderful in sizing up the placements of markings etc…
ok enough blubbering. Go get it.It’s the biggest laptop in the world right now,and for once I have surprised my work colleagues with this baby.They say its a walking desktop computer!!!!
