Seems to me: Microsoft = A company run by beurocrats Google = A company run by "college kids" Personally... I have worked for both types of organizations and would prefer the Google style. I work at a company that is about to implement some of the things they have at Google, or we're toying with the ideas, and it's rather nice to see how other people have experienced working in these conditions. And it's also a pretty good insight into why Google from time to time seems rather laissez faire in their development and release programs. Personally I think it’s a pretty interesting read.
