AMD’s recent high-velocity Phenom logo exhibition on the side of speeding Formula One helmet might have been a little anti-dramatic, if anything the size and fidelity of a 4 inch sticker was a little disappointing. However, thank god to the magic of Andre Fedosjeenko and Photoshop, in that order, he’s been able to recreate the AMD logo is (super) high resolution for all of us to appreciate the beauty of the blue comet or something or rather.
Can’t wait for AMD’s insightful PR team to tell us what it actually means, because some of us don’t get it.

Nice work. And a really nice logo /me thinks. This must be a comet! But the comet is a little bit too short, isn’t it?

ATI Comet logo will amaze you, because comets are fast. And shiny.

Question… do you use speech recognition for your blog posts?
Because “or something the rather” is a bit strange. I assume you meant “or something or other” which would be a strange typo but a very easy mistake to make for a dictation engine.
Just curious.

@Sven Groot: Dear aunt, Dear aunt, let’s set so double the killer delete.
No actually, just a bad typist.

A little trivia:
This is the ‘rectangular’ Logo (for a lack of better word). AMD always has the rectangular logo for use on hats, vehicles, swag, etc.
The other is the typical ‘case badge’ seems AMD hasn’t revealed that logo yet, but I have to wonder if its going to incorporate this swoosh thing.
Go to the PR section of amd.com to get a look at both types of logos. They even still have logos for the old Duron processors up.

It appears to be a paper airplane on fire.
