Did you know? There are just short of 100 different regional variations of Microsoft.com. Above is a collage of all the (unique) Microsoft.com websites available – some smaller countries shared duplicated websites amongst its neighbors. Almost all are individually maintained and updated with local content and native language. Only about 10% of the sites are updated to the latest version, mostly western countries with large markets.
Weirdest regional website? Microsoft Pakistan. A website clearly showing its age. Still promoting Internet Explorer Release Candidate 1, Windows Media Player 10 and Office 2003.
4th colum, 6th row. Theres a orange photo of something cool going on, I just cant read the language.
I can. It’s norwegian and it says “Defeat a ninja. Easy.”
the picture doesnt appear in my browser.
ie7, vista
i dont have any problem with flash (or other content) on any site but this one here.
looking for help π
Marco : Same Here
Wonderful collage. Probably Pakistan is going to receive the *new* Vista for this christmas π
Same here – IE7/Vista the flash content is empty (white).
Hmm, picture isn’t showing up here as well, IE7/XP. I thought it was just me.
Its fine in Firefox
Great. Did you create this, Long?
I have the same problm as Marco, Atomusk, Keeron and RC. I have Windows Vista Business (activated,RTM Build), Adobe Flash 9 and Internet Explorer 7. Most other flash content works and only this one is not funcioning correctly. It shows all white. Is there another copy of this?
Get Firefox!
Very interesting collage
Fixed problem with Internet Explorer 7.
Coordinates are wrong.
5 column, 6th row.
Works now. What was the problem Long? I’ve noticed the blank image problem a couple time recently on other sites.
thanks for fixing long
(no, i definately wont use firefox, ie7 is great)
I think someone needs a hobby, or a girlfriend, or something…
@Syco: Would you buy me one for Christmas?
It’s nice to see that israel on the map!
i love the ide long! π
Hey, if you go to the Israel page, the scroll bar is on the lefthand side. I know they read hebrew backwards, but I’ve not seen that before. Cool.
@RC: The problem was caused by a silly HTML error that Firefox ignored, whilst IE7 picked up on.
Long it’s in the left side.. in hebrew we read right to the left
lol dont you see windows vista in hebrew? it’s so funny

I really like the Zoomify interface across the bottom. How was this done? It’s quite different from the default, out-of-the-box interface which Zoomify ships with.
@John Dale: This is generated by the “Zoomify” export in Photoshop CS3
