In a surprising coincident of events, Microsoft makes a funny about Office in the patent application, “Methods and systems for providing a customized user interface for viewing and editing meta-data” filed on June 24, 2005. Nice to see someone has a sense of humor applying for patents.

I wonder why such a feature isn’t in Office 2007.
