Wow and I thought the Western Digital Mybook was a blatant ripoff of the "bookshelf" design http://www.westerndigital.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=224 But this one definitely takes the cake!

@Mike: Wow. That's the funniest (sorry) problem I've ever seen. I think it's a bug, but I would have no idea where to begin solving it.

Try repairing your Windows install.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/halfwayglad/.jpg

Here is a screenshot. I opened Ad-Aware, Word, Photoshop, and Firefox and 3/4 minimized to the tray. Why!?

Notice: When I open a file in Photoshop it even places that in the tray as it's own icon.

Sorry for filling your tubes Long!

Yes Mike, I think I know.
1. Right click the taskbar.
2. Untick "Lock the Taskbar"
3. Look left beside the START bottom
4. Move the ::/ looking sybol left.

Hope that helps.
Apologies to Long for spamming his blog.

Strange. My computer started something too. After installing a Windows Update, all my windows no longer minimize to the taskbar but to the bottom right next to the clock in the notifications. I have no idea how to fix this or why it's happening. Any suggestions? The updates were for Windows Media and a Security upgrade...

I can't hear it... PC problems...

All that tells me is two things:
1. The website is made by Dell servers/computers.
2. It's XP, no upgrade to Vista.
