i have just purchased a new notebook (lower end) with vista basic pre installed but my applications are not compatible with vista yet i figured no big deal ill just reformat and put xp on but i am now realizing its not like going from 98 to xp or anything like that i am not interested in runnung xp and vista at same time on it any advice or steps i could take to do this in a dummyproof way butthe proper way would be appreciated
what exactly is dual boot is that both operating sysstems on the comuter at same time is it possible to get a preinstalled versoin of vista basic completely off and just run xp or not a good idea aor possible
